Isn't that one of the best looking group of grandchildren you've ever seen? You would think so, if you knew them and you got to spend time with them. so, take my word for it, they are very special. Starting from the left;
Ashlyn - The oldest of the grandchildren is into soccer and cheerleading. She loves to sing, dance and act. She's been in the last two church Christmas Specials. Being the oldest, she has blazed a trail for the others. She is completing 5th grade and that means middle school next year.
Her little brother is next, Luke. Papa calls him Lukie or Luker. He is a DS or Wii fanatic. I think his DS is the first thing he reaches for every morning and the last thing that is pulled from his hands after he falls asleep. Grandma (Nina) gets to spend at least one morning a week with Luke at the public library. A StarWars fanatic.
Cooper, Ashlyn and Lukes cousin. The dare-devil of the group. He will try anything once. Cooper is into karata and after only one year, he has worked his way up to a blue belt. He loves to draw and create. Everyone in the family saves old toilet paper cardboard rolls for Cooper to build something with. Loves Legos.
The redhead is Claira, Cooper's sister. After just one year of playing, she has blossomed into a very good soccer player. She loves helping her mom take care of Toula (not pictured here) and she is quite the charmer. I think she believes she can get just about anything she wants from her daddy.
Last, but by far, not least, is Ashlyn and Lukies sister, Taylor. She is a "Papa's girl". She plays basketball and is learning how to be more agreesive at it. She is full of questions; why, when and who. She wants to know about everything. She loves to cuddle up in papas arms. I hope she never out grows that!
Not pictured is Little Toula. She is not one year old and I believe her first word was "Papa". I dare anyone to try and tell me any different.
So, that's the crew and now you have an idea why I talk to them every Sunday morning when I close out the program. We have been truely blessed with God's gift of seven beauties and wonderful grandchildren.
